The Judicial Conference adopted a new revised Code of Conduct for U.S. judges at its biannual meeting yesterday. This is the first substantial revision of the Code of Conduct since 1992. The Code of Conduct which addresses judicial impropriety, disqualification, and extra-judicial activities, has also been reworded into plainer, clearer English.
