Forty years ago today, Justice Harry Blackmun announced the decision of the Supreme Court in case of Roe v. Wade. (Bolton v. Doe was announced on the same day.) An Internet search today for “Roe v. Wade announced” produces over two million documents, as the decision remains one of the most controversial in the modern history of the court.
